Solved Forum title/icon overlap- please help

Post by antiher0 April 10th 2011, 5:44 pm

Hey guys,

I want to increase the spacing between the topic icons and the titles. Can someone let me know where in the CSS style sheet I can edit this? I have been mucking around with the xbox theme and slowly changing things but I can't figure this one out.

Here is a pic of the issue for an idea;

Also, using this icon I created matches the background of the first image, but at the bottom of the page the colors are different. Is there a way to upload one icon for the body with the first background and another that matches the lighter background at the bottom of the page? (see below)

Appreciate any help, cheers

Sorry its a closed membership thing, and its not really in my hands to give people access.

I can tell you the theme I've used as a base though if that helps? It is 360 Elite

That's okay, but for the purpose of support I will need to take a look for myself. Could you PM me your forum link then please? Smile

I tried to pm you but got back an auto-reply "Hi, sorry but support requests are to be done in the support forum and are not handled by PM unless in rare exceptions i.e. Admin password lost"

Oops, sorry about that. I thought it was someone else. Embarassed

Dismiss my previous message, I'll look at your forum. Wink

EDIT: I have found a solution, please add this to your CSS code:

Code:
dl.icon dt, dl.icon dd.dterm {
    background-position: 5px 95%;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    margin: 0 0 0 24px;
}

Thanks! This solved the spacing, but since I entered that code a black line appears on my icons:

There also seems to be a light border on the left and right sides of each image, do you know how I'm able to remove that?

Cheers so far! Very Happy

I'll take another look and see if I can sort something out. Also, when you say light border, do you mean the gradient that appears when you hover over a forum? Smile

No I meant the two light gray lines that appear on the right and left side of the icons (when not hovering).

In the above image you can see what I mean on the Announcements and General Discussion icons.

For the grey border, it's the image itself. You will need to edit the image using an image editing program to remove it yourself or ask someone in the graphics section to do that for you. Wink

To remove the black line that appears on top of your images, please add this to your CSS code:

Code:
dl.icon dt, dl.icon dd.dterm {
    background-position: 5px 95%;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    border: medium none;
}
