How do you make separate sections for topics? like the warnings and post sections on here: https://help.forumotion.com/f46-other-problems
This may be obvious but I really don't know how to do it... Help appreciated!

what do you mean the stuff at the top of the page?
they are stickies, when you create a post in any section/forum you have the option to make a sticky or announcement at the bottom of your subject board.

I would just have the permissions set for your forums to allow only admins and moderators if you wish to allow mods.

EDIT: wait... I tried making a sticky and announcement but it won't move into a separate group... I want to figure out how to do that

it should go to the top of the forum page you creating the post/sticky in

Hi, please go to:

1. Administration Panel (advanced mode)
2. General Tab
3. Configuration (on the left, under Messages and e-mails)
4. Select "Separate announcements and stickies from the messages : With a table"
