Bogus Abuse claims
I have been hit with four bogus abuse claims recently, three of them today from some site trying to post replica stuff. It is getting tiresome. Is there any way to log the IP address of people registering for your forum? It would be a big help to be able to vet where the registration is coming from prior to activating a member. Once activated we cannot control what happens until they post so we can get an IP to ban.
thanks
thanks

Click Done and move on if they are bad reports. Nothing is going to happen since the reports aren't sent to Forumotion.

thanks. I just recived this one a moment ago.
It appears to be an organized attempt to cause issues. I did have someone in the past file two litigations ( same person) who is now wanted for fraud by the police in the great keystone state of Pennsylvania for fraud. I guess karma finally caught up to him.

if their ip banned then i think they are using a proxy to harm your site

Re: Bogus Abuse claims
well anyone can click the report abuse link in your footer,
It's there so0 you can take care of any issues your self and not have to have forumotion or onlineguardian get involved.
Anyway what i always do for my forum is have a welcome board.
This is where members must first introduce there self's before the are granted access to the rest of the forum.
So this also helps on being able to check ip's
I even created a members group, so after the post on the welcome board the are automatically added to the group and have permissions set for the rest of the boards you grant the group to.
And like mario said, if the reports are fake and bogus, then just click done and move on.
