Thread on main page Empty Thread on main page

Post by DaN-PwN May 13th 2011, 10:39 pm

hey
I need help figuring this out, we have a very popular thread on my site with over 500 posts. Just random bull... that everyone posts and many topics and discussions. I'd like make this available on the main page as to avoid navigating to it. I know a simple link will do but I want the actual thread on the main page by itself and where people can reply to.

I figured I can create a widget and place it side by side to the forum index with the links to the other sections on the site. So I got that far but what would be the code to place in the widget, where would I get it?

Hope this makes sense guys, any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

The best way to do it is how forumotion does it. Forum with the name
Code:
 & nbsp;
and then put it as a link in the category that people can post in.

no. Read this: https://help.forumotion.com/t21989-multi-forums-in-one

and also, if you have RSS you can feature it with RSS, but they wont be able to post.

all that does is make another forum within the site...

I want the actual thread posted in the home page, with a scrolling bar next to the forums index. in the video the home page had the links I want the actual thread in a box like a chat box where members can post links, pics...

thanks for your help btw Smile

www.feed2js.com

If you get the RSS from the thread, put it in there, add the script to the home page and it'll show up. members wont be able to post though
