Post by MrMario May 29th 2011, 7:47 pm

    First topic message reminder :

    Hello,

Do you see a grammar error or miss spelling? Post the original piece along with the correct version.

To ensure that its being looked at and to help locate this issue, please provide a screenshot and the location.

    Example:

Admin Panel >> General >> Configuration

As of right now, this topic will only support English languages. Once we have more translators, the language will be added to the list. Not all translations will be updated right away as it will be reviewed before going public to ensure the updated version is correct.

    Thanks for your help!

When the gallery limit has been reached, you get this message.

    Information
The size of all the pictures is higher than the allowed limit. You cannot send more.

    That should be:

When writing a topic/PM with no title, this error message comes up.

You must specify a subject before you can post.

"Before you can post" can be misunderstood. I think this should be something more like:

You must specify a subject for your message.

Not sure if "specify" is the best, but I guess it's better than "write".

Mario sure, I pointed it out to Typlo too, but he didnt do anything Sad

The one I noted was the profile editing, it was https://help.forumotion.com/profil?mode=editprofil but now has an 'e' , however, when editing the rest of the profile, one or 2 of the "profile" is missing an 'e' at the end (this is on all forums)

    Also on https://ipgetinfo.com/speed.php?lang=en
they have "connexion" it should be connection
Speed used to be connection a few months back haha.
Also, the techs need to improve the accuracy of the IP location, im more then 10 hrs drive away from where it says I am lol

    With the chatbox feature..
You can see here the list of the users banned from the ChatBox. You can also unban these members from this interface. The ban of a chatbox user is done via the command /ban username in the Chatbox. The command /unban username will unban the user via the Chatbox.

    it should be:

I changed it slightly, but it'll definitely make sense.

    it should be...

    Code:

I know it can be editable, it just needs a bit of tweaking...

    forum url/faq?mode=bbcode

There are lots of problems here. I'll try to get most of them:

    1. Header "Insert medias in the messages" should be "Insert media into messages"

    2. Header "Message scrolling" should be "Scrolling text"

    3. Header "Frames Creation" should be "Tables"

    4. Content of "Frames creation" should say:

Create a table in a message:

The BBCode to place a table in a message is identical to the tags used in HTML. To create a table, you need to start by creating a tag 'table' then insert a 'tr' row. This row can contain one or several cells 'td', and a table can contain several 'tr' rows.

For example, to create two rows and three columns in a table, type the following:

    Code:
    [table][tr][td] Row 1 - Cell 1 [/td] [td] Row 1 - Cell 2 [/td] [td] Row 1 - Cell 3 [/td][/tr] [tr][td] Row 2 - Cell 1 [/td] [td] Row 2 - Cell 2 [/td] [td] Row 2 - Cell 3 [/td][/tr][/table]

    Result:
    Row 1 - Cell 1 Row 1 - Cell 2 Row 1 - Cell 3
    Row 2 - Cell 1 Row 2 - Cell 2 Row 2 - Cell 3

You can also add styles to the BBcode 'table'. These are identical to those used for HTML. You can for an exemple add a border to the table above thanks to the 'border' attribute.

    Code:
    [table border=1][tr][td] Row 1 - Cell 1 [/td] [td] Row 1 - Cell 2 [/td] [td] Row 1 - Cell 3 [/td][/tr] [tr][td] Row 2 - Cell 1 [/td] [td] Row 2 - Cell 2 [/td] [td] Row 2 - Cell 3 [/td][/tr][/table]

    Result:
    Row 1 - Cell 1 Row 1 - Cell 2 Row 1 - Cell 3
    Row 2 - Cell 1 Row 2 - Cell 2 Row 2 - Cell 3

Other attributes are available: cellspacing, cellpadding, width, etc.
Tables need to be used with caution, please pay attention to the tag opening and closure. If an opening or closure error is made, you may not obtain the effect that you want.

I might find more problems later. Smile

    From the FAQ: https://help.forumotion.com/faq

User Preferences and settings > My language is not in the list!

The most likely reasons for this are either the administrator did not install your language or someone has not translated this board into your language. Try asking the board administrator if they can install the language pack you need or if it does not exist, please feel free to create a new translation. More information can be found at the phpBB Group website (see link at bottom of pages)

We can't install language packs on forumotion, this was left over from the original phpBB FAQ. This must be deleted (or modified somehow).

Also from the FAQ the last chapter is "phpBB 2 Issues", it is like this on every version. My sugestion is to change it to Forumotion or Forum Issues

    The quick login feature:
    Grammar Errors - Page 3 14261643

The text is just too long, why can't it be short like the french version ?
    My suggestion: Log on automatically

One last thing, and I think you will all agree with me here.. the "You have no new messages" from the menu, also too long.. simple solution: Private Messages
