A code for a manually updated gauge that goes under username.

Hi. I'm not sure if this is the right place for a question like mine but...

I want to know if there is a way to add or maybe change something on my forum so that members can go into their profiles and type in there progress on something manually; where a little bar would show up on their posts somewhere under their username. I'm thinking I might have to use a role play tool for this? Either that, or find a device online that tracks their progress and they have to put it in their Comment bar...

Any help or suggestions would be great.
