Forumotion pretty much covers this in the TOS, so you just have to obey the TOS and you should have nothing to worry about.

As far as your other site, not sure, it all depends if it was violating any of forumotions TOS in anyway, if not? then once again i would not worry about it.

However it would help if i knew what kind of privacy policies you are referring too along with how it would be related to your site.

Thanks kirk/mario for your response. I will try to expand a bit on my question. Im in the uk and read on the net that new laws recently introduced mean if a site uses cookies as the forum does, then you have to have a policy stating what info the cookie collects and giving people an option to reject that cookie. I was also informed that if i collect any information about a person ie email address,(sign up to the forum) i have to have a policy stating what i intend to do with that info.
    Thanks

If I remember correctly, when someone registers there is a part of the agreement that they agree to that says something about cookies and their email addresses.

    Hi,

Also to state, you are not required by ForuMotion to have any privacy policy related to your ( or any ) other website, just please note that if you were to post a link to for example, RapidShare, there will be about 30m seconds of adds before you are redirected to your download. This is just so the user(s) know that their going away from the forum, and to another website.

If at any stage you think you may be violating the Terms Of Service of ForuMotion, your free to revise them at any time.
