    Solved "& n b s p ; " in Newsletter

    Post by TruthSayer Mon 29 Aug 2011 - 21:36

    I'm having a problem with the 'from' portion in newsletters and emails sent from my site. This is a quote from the 'From' in an email that was recently sent:
    this e-mail was sent to you by TruthSayer from "& n b s p ; " - http://anubisscripts.forummotion.com

    Now, because of the banner I use, I've set the site name and description in the AP with the code in the quote, as it would be redundant to have it twice on the main page of the forum. I'm wondering how I can get the from portion in emails and newsletters to say "Anubis Scripts" instead of the code above, without having to change the site name and description in the AP?

    Thank you for your help on this!

    Hopefully I can clear this up ^^

    "& n b s p ; " in Newsletter FireShotcapture017--Welcometoyouradministrationpanel-anubisscripts_forummotion_com_admin_index_forum_modegeneralpartgeneralsubgeneraltidd-1
    "& n b s p ; " in Newsletter FireShotcapture016-AnubisScripts-anubisscripts_forummotion_com_forum
    Because I've done this, this is what happens with Newsletters and emails:
    "& n b s p ; " in Newsletter FireShotcapture019-5unread-ariana_truthsayer-YahooMail-us_mg3_mail_yahoo_com_neo_launch__randdf27ivtvgr0gf
    "& n b s p ; " in Newsletter FireShotcapture018-5unread-ariana_truthsayer-YahooMail-us_mg3_mail_yahoo_com_neo_launch__randdf27ivtvgr0gf
    I'm wondering if there's a way to fix the "& n b s p ;" in the newsletters and emails so that it shows the site name, without having the site name showing up in the forum header?

    Thanks so much, I hope this makes more sense now! (Screen shots are a wonderful thing ^_^)

    You must put the site name to show up on the emails. It won't work if you don't.

    Strange about the first two screen shots... They're still in my photobucket album scratch

    I understand about having to have the site name for newsletters now, thank you!

    Is there a way to make it not show up on the actual forum, but have it present for the newsletters/emails? Maybe something that can be put into the CSS or templates?

    Thank you for your help on this!

    Thank you for the suggestion, Rideem3! Unfortunately, I can't find this in the template you specified. This is what I have:

    Lol, that's ok ^_^ Problem is, I'm not seeing that, either. Maybe this?
    Code:
       <title>{SITENAME_TITLE}{PAGE_TITLE}</title>
       <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset={S_CONTENT_ENCODING}" />
       <meta http-equiv="content-script-type" content="text/javascript" />
       <meta http-equiv="content-style-type" content="text/css" />
       <!-- BEGIN switch_compat_meta -->
       <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE={switch_compat_meta.VERSION}" />
       <!-- END switch_compat_meta -->
       <!-- BEGIN switch_canonical_url -->
       <link rel="canonical" href="{switch_canonical_url.CANONICAL_URL}" />
       <!-- END switch_canonical_url -->
       {META_FAVICO}
       {META}
       {META_FB_LIKE}
       <meta name="title" content="{SITENAME_TITLE}{PAGE_TITLE}" />
       {T_HEAD_STYLESHEET}
       {CSS}
       <link rel="search" type="application/opensearchdescription+xml" href="/improvedsearch.xml" title="{SITENAME}" />
       <link rel="search" type="application/opensearchdescription+xml" href="{URL_BOARD_DIRECTORY}/search/improvedsearch.xml" title="{SEARCH_FORUMS}" />
       <script src="{JQUERY_PATH}" type="text/javascript"></script>
       <script src="{JS_DIR}{L_LANG}.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

    If you need to see the full template, it's in the spoiler in my previous post.

    Thanks!
