Banning Proxy Servers, Multiple Log Ins

Just created this forum for the ex Jehovah's Witness - Artists.

We have opened the discussion forum as a place for confidence building and healing among the ex witnesses.

Now, there are several ex witness forums on the internet, most of them focusing on general discussions. One thing they all have in common, is one hate filled poster that has caused the utmost trouble in peoples lives. He goes by the handle of Evil Force. This user has always attempted to destroy every board he has been on, with threats towards other posters, posting up absolutely vile sexually distasteful images, comments about sodomising children and so on and so forth. Many wish that he would just go away, but he seems hell bent on causing as much trouble for everyone, that he possibly can.

Already he has threatened on another forum to come to our new site and to set up accounts in known other users names, with the sole intention of causing as much havoc as possible. He claims he will be doing this via proxy servers.

How can we make sure that this individual does not access our forum? How can we ban proxy servers from our forum?

Any other advice or links required to back up my claims made here will of course be given, be warned that many of his views are vitriolicly hatred filled and very extreme.

We wish to build our forum up as a safe place for those who have been abused by the cult known as the Jehovah's Witnesses, it is a support forum, a place for confidence building through art and artist generated themes, the last thing we need is this lunatic turning up, spoiling things for everyone.

According to my gmail address, already one unidentified user is on the discussion forum, whose name does not appear in the Membership List. Should we be concerned about this?

go to one of his post's click IP then go to the administration panel general admin security then paste his IP into the ban list Than do the same on ur other forum.

Hello.

I asked my ex-colleague who's good in juridical stuff and here are his advices.

1- Set up the account activation to Admin (Administration panel > General Admin > Configuration > User activation > Administrator), so you will choose to activate the accounts or not. You will see the non-activated users in Admin Panel > User Admin > Inactive users.

2- If he continues, ban, ban and ban.

3- And eventually, you can lodge a complaint at a police station. For this, keep all the proofs (IPs, date, hours and timezone when he posted) by moving the offensive topics in a private section.
