My forum was maliciously hijacked. What do I do?

The forum I frequently visit (which I will not name for reasons of security but can be Private Messaged if it will be of any help) was maliciously hijacked and taken over by a known menace to our site, who circumvented their ban and allegedly used an SQL injection to access the admin panel and make himself the highest admin level possible.

I need help- anything would be great.
