favicon with IE and Mozilla, HELP!

I have read all the tutorials and managed to install the favicon of my forum (http://www.gatospito.com).
The problem is that some users cannot see it. I have Mozilla at home and I can see it. I cannot see it in my other pc in the office with IE.... Any idea please????

CAUTION: Your picture must be in the format .ico for it to be accepted on all the navigators. If you put another picture format, IE for example will not show your Favicon, while firefox will!

Just make sure your format is .ico

it will be to do with the browser, not all see favicons. where have you placed it also? the code for it.

Does this also have to do with IE' s various versions?

IE does not support favicon. Other browsers like firefox and opera supports that as far as i know.

Sorry I made version mistake i have edited and replace the version now.

It only works in IE 7 and not in IE 6. So change the version but mostly people use IE 6.

My favicon works just fine with IE 7.

From what I can see IE 8 is not available yet in alpha.

Keep in mind that your favicon will only show up on the Index page and the Portal.

All I can suggest is to maybe try a different favicon generator site and file hosting site. I used these Favicon Generator making it 16 x 16 and FileDen.

I don't know what could be causing it to not show up. I too followed the tutorial and it went smoothly for me.
