No this is one of the newest features. It's actually a very good one.

If you are composing a message and someone else is composing one at the same time, and posts before you do, this message will come up letting you know that another post has been made since you started to write your reply.

You can scroll down to view what the newest post is before posting yours. This helps save duplicate posting, of two ppl saying the same thing. Then you have the choice to either go ahead with your post (save), edit (modify) it before you post or decide not to post it.

I'd rather not have it on my forum, as do all of my members. Is there an option to turn it off, because if not there should be.

So far I have not seen anywhere to turn it off as of yet. The update came today along with a lot of others, so there have been changes and additions to the ACP. I think I have found most of them myself, but so far not this one.

Maybe it is still in the works, I don't know. But so far, I can't find any way to change it.

They are working on the tutorials for the new features, so maybe that might explain it, when it comes out. Or maybe someone else has figured it out.

Me personally, I am gonna keep it. I have used it on other forums, and most ppl love this feature. It becomes very useful. And it only takes a second to click Save to go thru with posting.

I found it at YOUR forum! I was editing my profile after registering for your forum, trying to figure out why I couldn't add an avatar, so I was checking all the settings and that is where I found it.

I also found the friend or foe and the Draft settings there as well.

Mine won't save for some reason. I click no and it goes back to yes. Some of my users get it to work and some don't. They should make the default option for this set to "no"

Thanks for the information on how to turn off this annoying feature, but it doesn't work on my forum.

As Brandon (above) has found, if you set it to "no" and click save, it just resets to "yes".

I don't like the feature and nor do my members. I'd the option to turn it off, please.

Actually, even though the selection goes back to "yes", it still disables the message. So as long as you select "no", the option gets changed, even if it says it doesn't
