Link to frontpage of site.

I have seen on a few sites where the front page of a site is linked to the board. Dunno what its called but Im sure it must have a correct name.

It shows the last 5 (i think) messages which have been updated or created in a box on the front page. Kinda neat way to keep people informed of what is going on in the board in a quick way.

Is there any way of doing that, or tutorials with the forumotion boards please ? And do I embed into the html still ?

If you mean on the Portal then you can to this : Go to admin panel=>Modules=>Portal & calendar=>Configuration and look for the "Number of recent topics" and choose the number of topics you want to be displayed, Then click on Save. Now go to admin panel=>Modules=>Portal & calendar=>Portal pages management and click on the "Structure" button. Look for this section "Addition of existing modules" and choose The "Recent Topics" module from the modules dropdown menu. Also choose a location for it( where you want it to appear) and then click on "Add the module" button.

You must first allow portal . For that enable portal at admin>>modules>>portal>>

And also the url of your portal is http://your forumotionaddress.com/portal.htm

Thats kind of what I was looking for but I wanted to do was take a section from that Portal and Add it too my front page.

I would like that Latest Posts bit on the front page, ie index.html. So that people can see what is in the forum at the moment - kind of overview before entering

i think it cannot be done as far as i know. But i will try to do something but it seems it is not possible.
