They were thinking of changing it to NiceBoard first
The reason was because the company thought it more proffessional and that it matched it's french equivalent and original (ForumActif) better.
Personally, I prefered EditBoard, but ForuMotion sounds good too (as long as it's not NiceBoard )

OK I am not trying to Cause a Kilsek moment here but I do have a respectable question.


Why does forumotion still advertise sites as ad free? Granted the are ad free for a couple days then bam the ads are there.

This is false advertising in any country.

And if Typlo isnt the owner of Forumotion but just an employee who is he to add to the TOS?

And is this the proper contact info to get ahld of someone in charge of Forumotion?

No My friend ..its not in a way to insult you or anything maybe you misunderstood it...
I said it as a joke..it was a joke

it meant that any mistake made by typlo one of the few person who have courage to point it out is you ..its like a dragon breathing below typlo's neck!

anyways what i wanted to say was that indeed in many countries you have ads on forumotion and in some its not there so basically he is taking advantage of doubt..
also it may be mainly because in those countries where forummotion is getting less revenue it may put those ads back... and in the ones like India and china with millions of internet users they don't need it much well thats just what I think is the reason its sorta business strategy.. since I'm a management student I kinda understand it ~

Also typlo maybe doesn't have that much of authority but he's like a spokeperson here..wat he gets from his higher ups he does that..
adn this forum is in a way outsourcing of query/support etc which is run by the staff and overlooked by him~

Yeah that just reminds me, it's against the law to advertise false information especially for commercial purposes. And I think the punishment is harsh.

Well well it seems it has RECENTLY been taking off the front page when you sign up for forumotion.

The fact remains, when many of us signed up it stated clearly that it was ad free then all of a sudden they are there.

Fortunately, I am in a postition that many others arent where I CAN buy credits and purchase things like ad removal. And Typlo you of all people know I dont mind doing that.

I even don't mind donating (if allowed) to other sites.

Recently = the last time you complained about ONE lost page in the archives of the site that we forgot about, ~5-6 months ago.

I'll just copy you the TOS you agreed as i've actually got work to do rather than arguing with you everyday :

Modification of the Terms of service
These terms of service might be modified at any moment, at Forumotion.com's discretion. All accounts have to be in conformity with all changes which have been done in these policies.

We were ad-free when you signed up 2 years ago, we are not now due to obvious economical needs we have to remain competitive on the market.
If you signed up for a static service that offered you "ads-free guaranteed for life" you would be right, but that has never been the deal.

So now, just get over it, and find something else to complain about so you can remain polluting our service like the past 2 years.

Damn, I wasn't trying to cause a problem here, just asking a question. Oh and I have gotten over it. I have paid for credits to get what I want for my site. Not to mention I still have over 6,00 credits just sitting in my admin panel.

And for your Reply the way you did, "get over it" "polluting our service" there is no wonder why Forumotion's reputation has gone down. If you don't believe me use google for Forumotion.

Why do you keep insulting the best helper on here?
Surround yourself with yes men and when the repo men come they will still be saying yes.
The way staff on here have been treating members lately makes me wonder when forumotion are going to be facing a class action in court?

kada uplatis listic u kladionici, tada je gotovo, moze se koeficijent spustat koliko hoce ali tebi vrijedi onaj u trenutku uplate... tako i ovo - kad smo se registrirali na Forumotion tvrdilo se da je ad-free forum host, i tako treba i ostati, eventualno zbog vasih ekonomskih neprilika mozete uvesti reklame, ali samo na forumima koji tek slijede, ovo je vrlo nepravedno i neprofesionalno od vas, sada mi se namece jedno pitanje - je li Forumotion zaista jedna ozbiljna firma kojoj je stalo do svojih klijenata ili je tu samo da pokupi pare?

zbog nepoznavanja dobro engleskog jezika nisam u mogucnosti prevesti ovaj tekst, pa bih zamolio jednog dobrog translatora da prevede kako spada
