Storing Calendar Threads in Basket? Empty Storing Calendar Threads in Basket?

I am setting up my calendar and I don't want the threads that are created when I add an event to the calendar. Can I create a basket (I deleted the original one since I had no idea what it was for) and store the calendar threads in the basket? Thank you for your help.
