Is there a way to make it private so you must be a member to read what is in the posts and stuff like that?

you can setup this in your admin control panel under "Forum / Permissions". You click on the forum you'd like to edit and check the boxes you need. "advanced mode" gives you further options.

in addition: "View the forum" means they see the forum name, but to read anything inside, they have to login/register. Wink
