Define "Registered user."
What defines a registered user?
Any registered user?
Any registered user who has made a return visit but did not post?
Any registered user who has made a return visit AND has at least one post?
And, how does activating an account fit into this scheme?
Yesterday I did some maintenance on users who have registered but have never returned to visit. After doing the maintenance, should I see a difference in the registered users count, immediately? (As shown on the Index page in the Who is Online box.)
Thanks!

Re: Define "Registered user."
Hi!
Registered users means all users that have an account. In the "Who is online" box are shown users that are currently online (staying on the forum). In the "Statistics" box are shown how much registered users your forum have.

Re: Define "Registered user."
Its really up to you. Register users can be seen in many different ways, but originally they're members who registered. You can see who are the active ones and which aren't:
ACP >> Users & Groups >> Inactive users.
ACP >> Users & Groups >> Inactive users.
Re: Define "Registered user."
A "Registered User" is someone who has joined the forum as a member and who's account is active.
Re "Inactive" users, these are people who have joined but for one reason or another, have not "Activated" their account. (If "Activation" is set to "User", they have to verify by clicking on an e-mail link). You can "Activate" these people by going to AP>Users & Groups>Users>Inactive Users: Click any you want added then hit the "Activate" button.
If "Activation" is set to "Admin", then you have to activate the user.
If "Activation" is set to "Automatic", then they are active as soon as they provide their "Log-in" credentials.
Re the 3rd point, I'm not sure if the member count resets itself, sorry.

Re: Define "Registered user."
Thanks for the info. I pretty much knew how to do all the operations but I wanted to confirm who was counted as a registered user.
