Forum confusion

Ok, I am part of a site called Fairy Tail Forever, http://fairytail.rpgboard.net/ this site I believe is laid out very well. I have currently started creating my own site, which an admin on Fairy Tail Forever has tried to help me with a certain problem but unfortunately. I still haven't figured out how to do it so I have turned to coming on here for help.

and here is a print screen from FTF which I have numbered for things I would like to do but don't know how to.



so basically with number 1 I see that there is a way to edit what the titles say to specify what below them is. Unfortunately I have no idea on how to do that or how to create another one of them so I can separate my forums.

Ok number 2 is to do with how there are forums and then underneath the description of those forums, there are links to the sub forums, but the sub forums are not visible like they are on mine. I don't know how to do that either.
