role playing questions

I have already read the tutorials and seen how to make a character sheet... but I still dont understand how exaclty it works....
whats the point the dice? what happens when a player rolls them? how does the game advance?

can someone give a quick example on how a game between a few members would work?

when they role automatically a dice of 6 images is choosen and a new post is appear in the post last made. It will show that "Member X has played dice roll and result is ...."

then what? ok I roll a six... now what happens?
