Post wait time

Hello all! Korvic here, while I know there have been many topics about the post wait time, and you are looking for a way to stop spam-bots, I had an idea to make a compromise. After a poster makes 50+ posts, they should have their wait time reduced. If this is possible it'd make it great so that the people who do stay here don't have to wait as they are not spam bots. Any spam bot that reaches 50+ posts would have already been seen and deleted before it can. Or you could even raise that post amount, make it like 100+ posts. This way spam bots can't spam, and neither can random users, however if you're actively on here actually using the forums for a good use, you don't have to wait, or at least wait as long. For the 50+//100+ posts group that would be able to post quicker, you could still have them wait, but at least have them wait less.

Its not possible to add the flood control based on the number of posts.

So that would mean that Admins and Mods have wait time as well? If not then it's set via rank. I know that you can set a rank to be applied once you reach a certain amount of posts. :3

The basic suggestion you are seeing is what I have linked above, that wait time won't be reduced

Admins & mods don't have the flood control time that you set for users. But, they do have a default flood control time of I suppose 5 seconds.

The 200 seconds was added when there was constant spamming. It will be removed sooner or later.

Well then why couldn't you set it so that a separate user group has that flood control time?

Well, then thats what your suggestion is for. I was just mentioning why the 200 seconds flood control time was added in the first place.

That is a good time. I mean its under a minute and that way people won't become annoyed. I mean lets face it 200 was a bit extreme. Even to prevent spam.

It was put up not to prevent the normal spam. A couple of days we got 100's of posts repeatedly, so to avoid that we had to take such a extreme step & set it up at 200
Things are fine now.

I see the waiting time is reduced now, still 50 sec is a long time for me when trying to edit a message and I can't even imagine how it was to wait 200 s.
But I'm afraid this suggestion will only facilitate the spam. The more spam will be posted, the faster the spammer will be able to post

Oh suck it up you guys, it is not that much. It could have been 2 minutes. 50secs isn't that bad.
