Portal without standard header and footer?

Sry, I really tried to search for it, but I found alone in the first page three simply "portal" named threads. Man, I'm glad I don't need to moderate here^^

However, back to problem, or better question.
I found lot's of tutorials about the Portal which said me nothing new. When I make own blocks in the Portal, I still have the banner and the nav bar of my forum as header and the Forummotion Footer. My question is, if it's possible to get this away. I really want to make the protal different to the Forum. Maybe with a nice picture or something.

no you cannot. You have to use html page for that. All coding have to be done by you.

I know how to erase the footer, but i doubt that i can tell you throw here.. cause i think to erase it is ilegal.. cause thats the only thing forumotion puts on your web.. and its in the terms of use.

Yes, I really don't want to delete the footer, since the forum is free. but the banner. Because although you make a custom html it still have the banner. I just think it doesn't fit so well to the portal. The forum of course shall stay with the banner.
But Alex, don't you think you could erase the banner the same way you erase the footer?
