What are credits? Do I need to buy them?

In the news section why is the new topic some small (on the front part of the display) and why does it say there is 0 new topics?

It says there is one post and topic for me. The last posts is small because it is for showing minor details on the index. If you want to view the full details you can either click the post link or traverse further into your forums categories.
