Moderators for certain room?

Hi I am new to all of this and I did a search on moderators and I didn't find exactly what I was looking for. I would like to have a Moderator for individual forums. I call them rooms in my forum. If anyone would like to look at my page to see what I mean I will post the link. But there are certain sections such as the African Grey section or the Cockatoo section that I would like to have different people be the Mods in there. Can that be done? Or when I give people the option to be Mods are they just Mods for the whole forum? I know this is probably really silly. I just have never in my life done anything like this before and would really appreciate someone being able to help me. Thank you!!!
