chat room moderators

how do i assign a moderator for my chat room?

in the chatbox, put this code:

/mod + name of the member

apparently i am not that bright....i put it in the message part of the chatbox. should the + be in there also? and what should I see once i did that, so i know i did it right? thanks so much for the help

For example, let's say in my forum, I want to make Green Giant a moderator of the chat, in the chatt, I'd write:
/mod Green Giant

(P.S; green giant is just a figment of my imagination )

oh boy, i needed a bigger brain! so should i see something different after i type that in? something in the chatroom saying who the moderator is?

Only the admin can put someone a moderator of the chat . You are the/an admin ?

you must put this code as you will put a message. And you will have a confirmation when you put someone mod, a message like this : "Moderator status given to xx by xx"

no i dont see that? should there be any spaces when i type it in or should it be: /modrunning with wild horses or could it be something i am supposed to set up in the adm. panel?

a space between the command and the name of the member

its not working for some reason. I put it in just like that and typed my user name exactly how it is viewed but nothing happens. Is there a way to do it in the admn. panel? any other suggestions?

Admins are automatically moderators of the chattbox

Any user wth @ next to their name in the chatbox is it's moderator and can use the moderation tools of the chatbox

ohhhh. well no wonder. I thought that if i was moderater it would say somewhere of the chatbox. we have one other admn. on the site. thanks all so much for your help. I just wanted the chat people too see who the moderator is
