Messages are not getting in at the chatbox

I am a new member and I have a problem with my chatbox.

Every hour, there are 5-10 members chatting and we usually experience a technical glitz like our screen suddenly becomes white or black. Messages are not getting in and it is very slow. Most of the time, we are logged out automatically without doing it.

Our chatbox is the most active feature of our board and we don't know how to fix it. Our users are now complaining and we don't want to loss them.

Someone suggested me to clean the board BUT HOW? Can someone help us?

Can someone help? I've created a topic like this twice now but I never received help form the administrators.

If you type /clear in the chatbox all will be cleared.

try pressing ctrl/f5 this clears your browser cache.

sometimes i got that problem if i browse my forum with IE, try ask them to change browser and use mozilla firefox, which far more better than IE on everything

Well sometimes the moderators might not know the answer. I know I don't. This is a little more technical than my personal knowledge. And it might be something we need to move over to the technical forum.

All of us moderators read all threads and if we don't know the answer we leave it for another staff member who might know the answer. If there is still problems we discuss what we think could be the problem and whether or not a thread should be moved to the techs.

And this is a holiday, so not everyone is around. So please be patient, we will try to get answers as soon as we can.

Our chatbox is having the same problem again today...we are having this everyday.But tech will act tomorrow.

i just register on your forum and try that chatbox myself and got a conclusion,

your forum message not bugged at all, its just some delay for message to come out. about that screen become white or black sometime its happen to most of forummotion user i think.

so, all we need is wait till forumation technician to fix it up and maybe for temporary solution you can clear your chatbox message often using clear command

ps: btw how could your forum chatbox located on portal :P, teach how to do it hehe

Admin panel - modules - portal - portal management - structure - add module
