User wants to keep a username I dont!

Hey.

A few weeks back, a user registered with the name: '!'

I didnt like this and thinking it was a spammer, deleted the account.
This week, the same user registered under the same name. I deleted it, and he registered again. This happened about 3 times.

Well now he said hes gonna tell forumotion.

How do i stop HIM?

You can ban his email address. Or if you know his IP address, which you can find out when he logs on, you can ban his IP address. That is the best way to stop him. If you just want him to stop using the name, then just ban that user, then he can register again, but since the user name is already in use he won't be able to pick it again.

No just use the name filter gizmo

I tried that, it wont work.

Like Kilsek said, just use the filter. Ban the use of ! and any other letters, words or symbols you like.

I've never seen this before. Where do you set up the filter? I have been looking through the admin panel and can't seem to find it. That could be useful.

This is located in "General / Word Censoring / User Censor". However, as far as I know this would not work for single signs/symbols as the entered word has to be at least 3 characters long.
