Warnings concerning the breaking of the TOS.
I have to admit, i'm really paranoid about this.
I intend to put a lot of promotion into my forum. This will be hours, and hours of work. I'm in it for the long haul.
Say I get a lot of members over years of use on my forum? But then some idiot posts something that my mod's or me miss, and this gets my forum deleted because of breach of TOS.
Or, I get a malcious member, that is aware of the the TOS, and then posts things that will get me a deletion...
I'm paranoid that i'll make a mistake, and break the TOS accidently. I've gone through them over, and over but am still paranoid.
I'm mainly worried because i've seen other people's forums get deleted without warning. All that work. Gone in seconds. Sometimes we can't always be at the forum, moddi'ng and there will be periods when people post horrible stuff. Do we get a period of time to pull the posts? Or do we just get our forums deleted straight away? And even though someone may have read the TOS, they still COULD make a mistake. Is it fair a forum is deleted without warning because of a mistake, or confusion?
Obviously, this doesnt apply as much to straight up racist forums, warez, etc...
My point is: I'm paranoid. A warning system would make me feel a LOT more comfortable. Some sort of positive communication between the admin of boards, and the deleter of boards. I think that an attitude and philosophy such as this would benefit long term health of forumotion.com, and make it's members feel a lot more at ease.
Kris.

Re: Warnings concerning the breaking of the TOS.
Please add a Poll to this So you can see everyones votes
I would DEFINETLY Vote YES to this.
I always had the slight fear of not realizing something in the TOS's and wind up one day going to My Forum to Find It Deleted.

Re: Warnings concerning the breaking of the TOS.
yes a warningsystem but be such a better idea I have worked my ass of for my website to much to have one member mess it up for me by placing illegal content. forummotion should always first ask us with it is about and why we posted it there by I don't know maybe making a topic on your site or contacting you by email. something outamated maybe but you can't just delete someones hard work because one person wants to mess it up,. please take in consideration a plan to solve this. thanks

And furthermore all of the money we place in our websites.....what if all that money just vanished one day....I know I wouldn't be a "happy camper"

Dmanlamius : I'm sorry for you if your forum has been deleted for this. However, you're in charge of your mods and what it's posted on your forum, that's why you have to be careful about what happens... and nothing will be deleted

Come on! Stop being so hard nosed about this issue. A warning such as:
"We have found that your site is in violation of th TOS (Post here what the violation is) Hence you have 24 hours to correct this or your site will be deleted."
Is not such a hard thing to do.

Re: Warnings concerning the breaking of the TOS.
Hello, Eximma.
My forum hasnt been deleted. I'm just pointing out that i'm constantly scared that It will be, even though I am very strict concerning the TOS.
Just some commuication between deleters and forum owners. That's all we need. You guys could pull our forums until we agree not to break the rules again. I'm wondering how many poor peoples forums have been lost just to making a mistake, and not being completely aware of the rules.
More so for the foreign guys, that may not be able to read English so well.
Asking us to mod our forums 24/7 is ridiculous. It can't be done. It's ok for a big company like yourselves, but most of us our just starting out, and getting members is alone hard enough. Getting mod's is even harder.

Re: Warnings concerning the breaking of the TOS.
I do agree. Even if the site was locked down as Dmanlamius mentioned so that only Admins could get on to find the problems and put into place plans of action would make things much easier. You said put in responsible mods but those are not so easy to come by as you may think. And I plan on using Forumotion for a while to come for my foruming needs, but I can most definitely say one wiped out forum for an offense we couldn't get to in time or were unaware of would definitely end it.
Sorry if that was kinda aggressive or anything ^_^

Terms Of Service
I thought I locked a similar subject a while ago...
Anyway, because I seem to only be sayig this;
Forums that are deleted have as theme ILLEGAL activities. If we asked a Hack forum to clan up, it wouldn't have anything left wouldit? If we asked a porn forum to remove everything, there'd be nothign left...
Hence this brings immediate deletion
If there's just something slightly out of touch, like just a hack/crack section in a "normal" forum, then we DO do warnings
Oh, and besides, our ToS isn't exactly repressif, we only disallow what is already not allowed by the law (except the porn bitbecause this system has many underaged children, not sure they need to see that kind of stuff...). So please exuse me if I think that imbeciles who have hack forums deserve to see their forum deleted
=> Lock
