when i click view the whole list under whose online

i now see a googles map with each persons location.. is this new?

if so, whys it say im in florida, when im in indiana tho

I am seeing it for the first time today. You can turn it on and off under admin panel->general->configuration(in the homepage section) at the very bottom there is an option to turn it on and off. It seems to be showing everybody that has been on for some period of time, maybe the last 24 hrs? Anyway, if it is showing you as being in Florida, then that is probably where your ISP is finally connecting you to the Internet. My IP address is coming from California, but I'm in Utah. That isn't all that uncommon.

hmm, i dont like that tho id like to see actual locations of where their from, from what they add in their profile.. and also i need to open a suggestion for this, but state and city, should be a drop down menu, so it will make people have to choose and actual city/state instead of how people put never land, u wish u knew, etc..

That google map is all based off IPs. It even shows you guests that have hit your site, if you had it based off locations in profiles then you wouldn't see guests on the map, because you wouldn't know where they are from. Also, not everybody forces their users to put in a location, I don't, and so I wouldn't even be able to see my users. I think the way it has been done is good. Even if you force a user to put in their location, they could just lie and put it as wherever they want.

now its showing me in indiana.. does it just switch isp's every now and than? it wouldnt bother me not seeing guests.. im just wanting it to mainly show an arrow for everyone that registers by location in their profile.. like a user location map thing.

Actually now it is showing you as being logged in to the northern US somewhere. Your ISP must be changing your IP address often, that isn't very typical. Usually you have the same IP address almost all the time, it can change, but usually not as often as yours is changing.

mine still says indiana, lol.. my ip is still the same also.. i think my ip changes every other month, if that.. its been t he same for over 2 months now, by my ip history on another site i mod.

Looking up your IP it says it is coming from Kentucky, which is about where I saw your location on the google map on your website.

OMG, that is a new feature but I want to turn it off.
