Re: Mod unable to access forum
Take a look at this tutorial Groups. It should help you to find out what you missed.
They cannot see the hidden area because you must not have them included in the group that can. Or you don't have the hidden set up to be shown to the correct groups.
And the reason behind the posting a sticky and such is due to you not having the permissions set up appropriately for the moderators.
As Sneshka stated go into the permissions of each forum, and make sure to click the Advanced mode at the bottom of the permissions box. Check mark what is necessary.

I will have a look at that - the other Mods can see their hidden area ok which is why I think I have missed something out. Other Mods can also post stickies, but I will read that tutorial thanks
Re: Mod unable to access forum
I have read all the info that I can see, and think I have followed all the instructions. The member can now make stickies, but is still unable to see the hidden areas.
Is there any reason why, if someone is definately in the Mods group, and has been given permission to see the hidden section they still cant see it?? Because that is what is happening!

Hello kikby1red,
I have read all that you have written (and what other members have), and I think I see what's the problem. Just follow my instructions, and you'll get everyting like you want to be!
Go to Group Administration (Admin CP --> Users & Settings --> Groups and click on Permissions button next to Moderators (). In the "Hidden" areas of the Forum, be sure that Allowed Access is checked.
Have a nice day,

Re: Mod unable to access forum
Thanks Raph, I have checked that now. The Mods will be on forum later, so I will get her to check then if she can see it or not and come back and tell you all. Thanks everyone for all your help
Re: Mod unable to access forum
well, the mod has logged on, but still cannot see the hidden section of the forum, despite the fact that I have ticked for access to be allowed. Is there anyway someone can have a look at the settings I have done for her on the forum to see where I am going wrong - are you able to access my Admin panel etc??
Re: Mod unable to access forum
Sorry to pester you all, but I really would appreciate some help getting this sorted.
I am sure it is something I have missed, not a fault or anything, but I just can't fathom it!
If anyone can access my forum and have a look I would really appreciate it

Hello kirkby1red!
First, I want to remind you that double posting is not allowed, unless seperated by 24 hours. You have posted three replies in much less than 24 hours! Be patient, dude!

Of course that answer is NO. If everyone was able to acces the Admin CP, than all the Forums would be messed up. The World is no perfect, there is always some idiot that want to hack Forums. Are you able to access my Admin Panel?
Uh, than I have no idea what to do. If your Moderators still acn't see the sections that are "hidden", than you probably need Technian Help. Try here, and tell us did you find anything good.Well, the mod has logged on, but still can't see the hidden section of the forum

Sorry, I wasnt aware there was a rule on how often you could post. As one of the posts was a Thankyou to you, and another a 'report back' on whether your advice had made a difference I didnt think there was a problem. Apologies of I have broken the forum rules.Of course that answer is NO. If everyone was able to acces the Admin CP, than all the Forums would be messed up. I knew that Members would not be able to access my forum, but was wondering whether forumsmotion Admin might be able to - it was a sort of open question, not aimed at anyone in particular.Uh, than I have no idea what to do. Thanks I will do that, although as the other Mods can see it I dont know if it is a Technical problem - hence me asking if anyone is able to go on forum and check how I have set it all up.
Have a nice day,
