My forum categories are not showing [solved]

I have just went from phpbb2 to phpbb3 version of my forum and i changed many many many many themes but my topics are still in one huge one please how can I show them ??? because the forum just looks dum without them

You should try to choose another index packing in "General / Homepage / Hierarchy".

That means that you go to the following place in your admin panel: "General / Homepage / Hierarchy". Then you will see six different methods to show your categories with a preview. Choose one of them and save.
