Hey - Having a new problem.
Some ppls registering on my forum with more ids but e-mail address is same. How is it possible ?

And what is ( Colorized Usernames Enabled ? )

Just the same problem that i had with u,coz u did exactly the same in my forum!!U just change one word in ur mail-adress.Whats the point really to open up more than one accounts in a forum,,,,,,,,and also in a forum u dont have any common with.I have take my web-link of my profile here now,and please dont come back to my forum after ur behavior yesterday!!

People shouldn't be able to register with the same email address. Are you sure it is the exact same address, or is there a character or some small thing that is different? Also colorized user names does what you see here in the support forum, it makes the user names for people in groups the color you have assigned for that group.

Hi Travis . . . sorry to butt in here, but I know that using the same address can most certainly be done. I(as founder) have made test profiles, using the same email address - just altering the User ID. Maybe I shouldn't have been able to do this but I could . . . .

Hmm... You're right, I just created a new account with my same email address. I don't think this is supposed to be allowed though, but I'll have to check for sure. I am pretty sure that it wasn't allowed when I started my site, because I created all my test users with different email accounts. I thought it was because it wouldn't let me use the same email account, but I could be wrong.

i just tried it and i wasn't able to use the same email address for another account on my forum. but i am pretty sure i have seen members with 2 accounts and the same email address!

I use php3,and i know it for sure its him,,,,,,cos he use the same web-link as he doing on his profile in here.And it was exactly the same weird mail-adress,except for one word,,,,,in his accounts.And he also in one of his account his nick is "EMO" ,just like here.And its also some more,,,,that i have PM the admin here about.

EMO:I really dont understand why u start this thread that u have problems with ur members in ur forum,coz u make problems for other forums to!!

As far as I understand you can register for more than one username/member with the same email addy. However, you cannot register for more than one forum (creating a new forum, as founder) with the same email address.

Well, then that explains it! BUT, (tho it's cool for us admins for test purposes) it really doesn't seem a great thing. I guess we'll just have to be careful and watch those addies coming in.

Well my friend cooper - i knew that same. but its happening in my forum. and am over sure they using same e-mail address. i have an e-mail address checker and ip checker. and i saw - three users doing this.

and we are talking about another thing Smile

We are talking about other ppls who making some diffrent name with same e-mail address.
And its not my problem - but am wondering - coz, its impossible to make some ids with same e-mail address...
