Numbering each post in a forum

Is it possible to have each post in a forum topic numbered? IE: post 1, post 2 etc.

what exactly do you need it for???
if you want a link to that exact post you can do it
all you do is copy the link on the post ... for example if i want to link your post above the link is:
https://help.forumotion.com/manage-the-appearance-of-your-forum-f45/numbering-each-post-in-a-forum-t17579.htm#94568

I copy the link by the title...
If you want this for counting purposes ... well i really don't think thats so important on a forum...
I know the vision boards automatically count your posts.

You can suggest this in the suggestions section if you really want it

I have had several members request a topic count on the forums. I would also like to be able to set the configuration to allow this.
