There used to be a thread for that in the General Discussions

We had to remove it when we had a wave of people from the french support forum come here and flame war openly
Also, you can complain, via P.M Wink

I disagree. I think the staff are fine. I've never had a problem with them.

I think Typlo is a little bit lazy as he never seems to post to help other people's problems, and I don't think i've ever seen The Godfather online, but Caihlem, Luky and Skittles in particular are amazing staff members who are forever getting involved, like posting in this thread.

I think Typlo is just in denial though Smile And besides, why do you want one? Have you got a problem with staff... I'm sure we'd all like to know about it!

I vote No. Inappropriate, I do not think having such a section is
necessary or productive in any way for the Support forum. The staff
here work very hard and I think are more then dedicated and respectful
in the way the handle and run things there. Complaints against staff Mouais

I say no. If there is a problem you can still contact any member of the staff by PM. I don't think that anyone will have something against the whole staff at once. (I don't even now all of them)

Personally i love the staff here, i had a board before that violated the T&C's and they were very helpful in explaining and also very polite, i dont think this i needed.

I chose the last one, aren't we all perfect? Anyway, I think that having a thread to complain about any one person, or group of people, is inappropriate, if you have a problem with somebody, staff or not, you should discuss it with them directly, through PM, and not have an open conversation about it. If you have any problems with me, I am definitely open to talking about it through PM.

I dont believe that there should be a "complaint" forum due to the fact that this is mostly free. Yea, you can buy points and upgrade, but the bottom line is that no1 needs to be here, but they are. To help and make the forums better. People who have a complaint can PM that person they have beef with. No need to go public and put someone on blast. Some people have to understand that people have lives outside of this box and that if they pos the right information, anyone will be able to help them specially the mods!!!!

I voted no.

Simple Plan, while I do appreciate your compliment Wink I have to disagree with you about Typlo. He is not one bit lazy. You don't know or understand just what goes on behind the scenes. He is one of the employees that works in the offices, so he also has a TON of other responsibilities besides the forums.

He is not really here to answer support questions, unless it is a bigger issue where the techs need to be consulted on, or something that only he can answer. Wink

But despite this, I do see that he does answer some support questions when he gets a free moment. But believe me his plate is "full" and he does an amazing job. loove

Yeah Typlo's on the paycheck Wink

Hum...

Seen as it's still neck to neck with the votes, I'll keep the thread open a little longer

I'd appreciate however if people who vote yes could have the coutesy to explain themselves. I've got nothing against their vote, but I'd like to understand it. Also, it's useful to know if it's a serious vote with reasning behind or just "I don't like, I want to complain"

.Why would you need a special place to do that, a pm to the person you have problem with is much better.
If you're still unhappy a pm to admin would seem more appropriate to me.
This could just turn into online slanging matches otherwise

Complaints against staff Empty Re: Complaints against staff

Post by Jalokim May 21st 2008, 6:42 pm

I hope those in favor of this suggestion, realise that this is a help forum. The staff here are to HELP you... now if you go and complain i don't think the staff will help you.

Its true... we can get a little fussy... but you must realize that we read stupid posts and we must deal with stuborn members everyday! every single day...
We also have to be strict against underaged members and illegal site because forumotion is a legal... law protected site... we can't let you guys break the law... that would be stupid.

So i suggest putting yourself in our positions... imagine recieving many PM's a day... imagine reading all the posts assigned to your moderation booth, and theres no ... i don't feel like reading them today.

Also one thing: if your admins are not strict ...your forum will fail. You have to draw the line somewhere... or else chaos breaks loose.
So remember... we are humans , we get pissed after a long day at school or work... and then additional work on this forum. We have the right to get a little pissed once in a while. I don't see no staff member here that is abusive all the time...

so put yourself in our shoes before making topics like this. We are here to help you... but we are not robots that will answer to your every command.

I think the staff here are awesome. =) Even though I've only been here a couple of times, I still say that the staff are really helpful. =) If they weren't, the forum would be in a mess - but I don't really think it is. So, I say definitely not, it would end up to hatefulness toward each other.

Complaints against staff Empty Re: Complaints against staff

Kilsek wrote:They are a bunch of hoodlums I tell ya! Hello

Ok close this topic !

EDIT: I actually just read all the posts in this topic and now Kilsek needs to sound off!

There are some new mods here who have got this superiority complex now that they are mods. When they were regular members like us they were care free and easy going. I understand that there comes changes in actions with becoming a mod.

I also find it humorous actually that a couple were made mods only a couple months after joining the site.

lol GEOX

And as far as putting ourselves in your shoes (being a mod) I will 100% guaran-damn-tee that there wouldn't be a bunch of help and other crap topics left in the general discussion forum. Don't just lock them and leave them there, don't even bother locking them-throw them in the basket. If the poster don't like it tell him/her to read the damn rules.

Now the Graphics forum: If someone don't use the graphics command-throw it in the damn trash. Obviously the poster thinks the rules are trash so treat their post as if.

And the bull droppings notion that you need 500 members for a theme is well bull droppings!

You know I foresee a warning coming my way but no one here else has the grapefruits to speak up so I will. I mean I have no real issues with the mods as being mods but you need to start laying the smack down! And if I am the first one then so be it.

Now as far as the real enemy for us-guess who, damn right the technicians! The excuse that they can't speak English well is a damn cop out! Hire someone who can if not just some!

May I remind those of forumotion offices what they have posted on the forumotion.com front page:

Offering an exceptional variety of extra features
What? forumotion doesn't even have all the good features of phbb3

Backed up by highly dedicated development and customer support teams, we strive to provide our communities with the very best of new Internet technologies

Ok uhmm where is this at? Link please! Definitely for the development. Support teams excluded.

What else can you expect from a free forum creation service? Everything! From powerful cutting-edge features,

Powerful cutting-edge features! that is a damn lie!

Now I am somewhat happy with forumotion but the contradictions get under my skin.

I have spent enough money on my site so I don't consider it a free site. And I'll be here for a while yet.

But if Forumotion really cares about the people using their service then have people capable to provide the cutting edge features et al!

And until then, I think we should stop posting suggestions!
