Calender issues

Hello all,

I run a small little forum for my wife and her friends... I'm having an issue with the calendar that I can't seem to resolve. Is there any way to place an event on the calender without it becoming a post in the attatched forum? I have scoured the control panels and can't find it for the life of me.

If anyone can lead me in the right direction, I'd be much obliged.

Sorry but no. The event is based on the post made. I suggest that you would make a Calender forum so the post would be put there. Then when you go to change the place you put the post in, choose Calender.

No, in the forum settings you can say who is able to see the forum, use the advanced mode, it's better.
View the forum means that the certain group can see the forum, Read the topics means, that they also can access the forum to read. That's really interesting, because I made some forums a way guests can see these forums exists, but can't enter them and steal stuff. So you get them to sign in, harhar.

In your case, make your forum and uncheck "View Forum" for members and guests. So they can't see the forum exists.
