i need help uploading new smilies. (Solved)

Anytime I try to upload a new smily it says


"Information.

The picture has not been uploaded, please try again.

You can only host images of these filetypes :gif, jpg and png."

If I try agian it still doesn't work and all the urls that I've tried using have been gif, jpg or png.

I don't know if the answers right in front of me but I don't see it.

Please help.

check your files extension... it should be yourfile.jpg or yourfile.gif etc

You shouldn't be uploading a html file containing the smileys... just download the picture only.

Check the file size too.... could it be too big for the server? There are restrictions on file size too... right click on your file and see the properties and check size (bytes)

At first,I had trouble with smilies,but only because I was doing it wrong.

Pick your smiley you want and "save picture as". I always save mine to desk top.And then when going into smilies in your forum to add them,just browse and upload from your desk top or where ever you put them. In smiley code I just used " on each side of what you want to call your smiley.Smiley emotion is again,what ever you call your smiley. And then save.

Our forums are quite generous to the size of the smileys
