Logging on as Admin

I'm having issues with logging on as admin. I created the forum, and wanted to log on as admin. However, whenever I try to login with the password I used to create the board (which is or should be the same one I used for my general account) but it didn't work! I tried nearly 20 times and it didn't work!

Then, I tried to get a new password for the admin, but that didn't work either, even though the forum said that such an E-mail alert can be sent, and so I assumed that the admin's password could be changed! Please help me!

I haven't worked with caches or cookies before, so I have no idea which caches or cookies to delete! Can someone help me?

With Firefox, you can simply press Ctrl+Shift+Del, which opens up a menu. Mark everything and clear.

Can't recall it exactly for IE, but you should find the buttons to delete the temporary data and cookies somewhere in "Extras / Internet Options".
