is there any way to get rid of the new posting options?

A few days ago my forum got updated with new posting options and quite frankly I hate them and my members have expressed how they hate them too.

It's the stuff like the smilies are in a dropdown now and the only way to put an image in is to have it so it shows up before you press "send".

So I was wondering if there is a way to go back to what it used to be, which is actually what you have here (you have the old better stuff at the forum of the forums)

This option is the WYSIWYG mode. You can disable it by default in Admin panel > General Admin > Configuration > Activate the WYSIWYG mod in post > No

And for each user, they have to disable it by clicking on the A/A button indicated in this screenshot :
