Re: Upload pictures
Hello poker,
When you want to insert an image in a post, it asks you for the location URL of the image. An example would be: http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/181837main_phoenix-brief1-516.jpg
When you host an image, after it uploads it will give you the location URL of that image.

Pictures for forums
I don't have a server and would like to upload an image to my forum http://uglymen.creaforum.net/index.htm to use as a picture for a specific forum.
How do I upload the pic to the my creaforum and then properly refer to it in the admin setup of the forum to have it appear?
Thank you

Re: Upload pictures
I guess a better way to put it is: I want to put an image in my forum and don't know how. I can't refer to a personal site because I don't have one.
Re: Upload pictures
Hey Pill,
Everyone who has a forum with Forumotion should have an account with servimg.com. Just visit the link below and type in the email that you used to set up your forum, along with the password that you use.
You can also access your image account from anywhere it says 'Upload a picture' in your Administration Panel.

Re: Upload pictures
There are two things you can do (2 I know of...)
1-Upload the picture to your gallery. Even there you have the choice to make a personal gallery, public gallery, etc. If you've never done this before.
Then, link to that picture. You can quickly find the url of the pic by clicking the pic, making it go to it's original size - from a thumbnail - and then right-click (or whatever you do to get that info) the picture and select 'properties'.
In the properties there's the url of the picture. Click on it once or twice, whatever highlights it and then copy.
That's the url you put in the box asking for a url.
2. Get a host account. Photobucket, whatever, or the one forumotion deals with: servimg.com
Do the same thing, copy the direct link (there may be all sorts of other links) and put that one in that box where they ask for a url.
As far as I know, there's no way to drag and drop a picture.
You must link to it. They won't store it on forumotion.
