Activating accounts Empty Activating accounts

I made an accout on my board for my friend, but when I get the activation message that says to view his profile, I tried to test his account, and it says the user does not exist. Why aint this workin?

Go to admin panel=>Users & Groups=>Users=>Inactive users. Check the box for the member and then click the activate button in order to activate his/hers account.

This happens when the user has registered but hasn't yet followed the confirmation email and logged into that account

Even tho they have registered an account hasn't been confirmed
