LOcked forums

Hi i am wanting to make it so that certain topics people need to ask permision to go into and read and post. I thought i had done this but now our members are saying they can't even see the catagory i've put in? Is this possiable to have a catagory listed and then show that the subforums are locked like this:



I want people to click on this and say they don't have permision?

I don't know if we can lock categories and forums but I know we can do it on every topic.

But I have other way how to show or hide a certain category or forum.

If you want members only to read the forum, go to Admin Panel - Forum - Management - Choose the category or Forum - click Permission - and check VIEW THE FORUM and READ THE TOPICS for the members but uncheck it for guests.

But if you want guests to see it but not to read it, go to Admin Panel - Forum - Management - Choose the category or Forum - Click permissions - Uncheck Guests at READ THE TOPICS but check them at VIEW THE FORUM.
