Go to your Admin Panel >> General >> Configuration >> Forum Deletion, and follow the instructions. Don't forget to check for the email, to verify the deletion, in order to complete the process.

i hit profile in administrate user and got to general configuration and didnt see forum deletion

You need to make sure that you are in the Advanced Mode, and not Simple Mode. Also, you need to be the forum founder, to do that.
