Be sure both "Forum under construction" and "Forum on holiday" is set to "NO" in "General / Configuration". Wink

i have a problem in registration Empty registration problem

Post by danibmw June 8th 2008, 5:14 pm

Only SOME people cant register to my forum because they dont get confirmation mail. They say they've already checked that their server allows all mail, and checked junk folders for activation email.

"If I try to register again, the board tells me the name is already in use, and if I try to login using that name, the board tells me the username or password is invalid.

I need you to please cancel my username on the forum so that I can start the process again...."

Do I have (as Admin) any access to usernames not activated yet?

I've changed the setting now to Admin Activation.

What would be the problem?

Dani.

I wonder if some users have Hotmail accounts. I have had tons of problems with Hotmail (I don't use them), because Hotmail don't generally forward activation emails.

As for your second point, you can go to admin>users & groups>users>inactive users which lists any user whose registered but not fully authorised. You have the choice of deleting them or activating them from that page.
