Hello hi i wish to know how to create the dividers which appear in this forum and use them on my own forum.
and also once created is it possible to name them as i wish.

screen shot of items i mean are below

This can be done with use of categories. In the example of this support forum, "About forumotion" and "Support Forum" are categories. The only thing left to do is to change your index packing in "Display / Structure & Hierarchy" to one of the three "split categories on index" options.

thank you for your reply and it works i now have another problem though there were 6 "forums" in the forum .

now i have them split into six different areas i wish to group them is this possible or will i have to re write the forums and start again

i wish to have 2 groups of 3 forums essentially
example now : all forums individually divided.
a.1
a.2
a.3
a.4
a.5
a.6

i would like
group
a.1
a.2
a.3
group
a.4
a.5
a.6

You don't have to create new ones, just go to "General / Categories and Forums" and click on the forum/category you want to move. The second option from top ("Attached to") let's you define a forum or a category where it should be placed inside. With "position this forum after" you can edit the position within the superior category.
