Is there a way to let certain ppl veiw certain topics ????? i goto user admin then permissions then i type there name in but i dont see how to change thepersmiisions

You can't change what topics they view, but you can change what forums they can view by going to Admin Panel >> Forum Admin >> Then click on the forum you wish to be viewable by certain people >> Set everything to Private-Hidden. Then go to group management >> create a new group >> set the settings ect. >> add members in >> Groups Permissions >> Set "Allowed Access" to the private forum and your done!
