Can you add a restriction to an attatchment so that only a certin rank can download?

Restrictions are not possible unless you post them in different forums where only specific members have access to. You can directly download a file through a link if it ends with the actual filename and the file extension (e.g.: "http://MyLink/MyFile.rar"). I doubt MediaFire supports direct linking though.

For a paypal donation button, you can use the HTML code below. It creates a clickable image that can lead to your paypal site.

Credits for your forumotion board can only be purchased by yourself. Besides that, other members can donate as well. Donated credits will automatically be added to your forum. Check "Misc / Donations" in your admin panel.

Fileden.com for example does allow direct linking. As said, not sure about MediaFire - they may support it, you probably have to ask.
