allowing banner adds and how to use Empty allowing banner adds and how to use

HI

Ive pressed the allow banner adds but how the hell do i place a banner ? All ive tried so far is set forum picture ( next to forum name ) but thats not quite what i had in mind as ppl dont like to have a huge banner up in their face once they open the site. Id like to place a small banner add either in the side of the screen or the top ( where banners usually is )

please help

the banners ads are dictated by google... you don't control them.
instead of text ads they add a banner or image ad.
