Hierarchy problem + Whos online problem Empty Hierarchy problem + Whos online problem

Post by Chad July 28th 2008, 6:07 pm

Hi, i have a problem in my forum, first what i mean with hierarchy is that when you enter for a example a forum in a catefory (forum Z, Category X) Id like to have the link to main where it says Category Z :: Forum X. It should be Myforum::Category Z:: Forum X.
How can I set that up?
Ok the second question is about the whos online thingy. I put always in the "Display viewonline information box on index" field .However when I go into a category the whos online box doesnt show.
EDIT: Oh yes one more thing, I added my Favicon succesfully, but its only available in main. Is it possible to place it in all the categories and sections of my forum?
Ok thx in advance!

on html pages you need to add this code to the head section

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.YOUR LINK HERE.ico" />

and for portal index etc place this code in other metatags

<link rel="shortcut icon" type="image/x-icon" href="http://YOUR LINK HERE.ico" />
<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="http://YOUR LINK HERE.ico" />

ok if you have pages that are made from html there should be a sectio at the top <HEAD>what ever html codes inbetween<HEAD> put the 1st code above within that sectio without splitting in between other coding to make a break, this will create your favicon on your html pages, the 2nd code goes in other metatags that can be found here:

Admin-> Displays-> Generalaties

and add the 2nd code which will display your favicon on your portal, index and so on,

with the forum who's online bit im not too sure what your getting at, if you are wanting it throughout your forum viewing then that is not standard and not really supported in phpbb to my knowledge like some paid forums are but maybee if you studied the text in the templates (phpbb2 only) you could copy and add a section to another template but ive not tried to do that myself as never seen the need to have it...
