Multi-quote!

Well, I'm sure this has been suggested before, but wouldn't an active forum run a lot more smooth with a multi-quote button? Sure, you can copy/paste the quotes and open another tab/browser to do what you're trying to do, but that delays your post. They have this on vBulletin boards and I'm sure it would be a great addition to phpBB/Forumotion.

Uh, guys:
when you click on "quote" you get directed the "post reply" page and under the fiels are all previous post shown. Simply copy and paste it. That's the same in all PHPbb forums.
Where is the problem?

it is not true
when ANSWER opened the next to each post there small chekbox which is enough to chek and all cheking posts will be insert in your answer (as a quote)

He's actually got a good idea. I think it would clutter the posts with unnesscary tic boxes but it would be a good function to have.

I love this feature on vB-based forums and I have thought many times why this isn't made possible on phpbb forums.

but multi-quote is really good. you can reply to all post in just one page. this is a very good function. we hope you could develope this. thank you.

I know what quoting is but what is Multi-Quoting.

Ok.. look.
You see 2 replies you want to comment on and you want to comment both of them so you check the 2 of the for "quoting" and then when you click reply both quotes of both 2 persons appear

this is a VB feature, and sadly we don't have it here.

A normal quote button would instantly redirect you to to the reply to topic page, while the multi qoute button saves the quotes you like to reply to for later.

Why not just learn the HTML or BBcode for a "Quote" and write it in yourselves?

It's not rocket science really is it.. andhow far will you plan of Quotations, normally people "Quote" 1, 2 or a a strech 3 posts above..

The post history gives us at least 4 posts previous to our rply, to let us review what has actually been said..

All you have to do is copy and paste it from there an use your initiative and write the "Quote" code into where it's needed.

So "NO!" - No point in this when techies will have other more pressing matters at hand.

I agree. VB has got this.. We should include this too. multi-quote is very useful. forget the copy paste reasoning. It's not even an alternative.. It's like a remedy...

I love multi-quotes, they are very useful. If a poll was added, we could vote yes.
