Domain not well configured Empty Domain not well configured

Post by Controlfreak August 29th 2008, 2:34 pm

I have my own domain name at Godaddy.com and I have jusr set up the CName record, but when I try to enter the domain name on my forum's admin panel, I keep getting the message "The supplied domain name is not well configured"

Any suggestions?

Here are some screenshots of the Godaddy cnames panel -

Domain not well configured Empty Re: Domain not well configured

Ok, nevermind. I figured it out.

I had to put "www" before the address when entering it into the admin panel. Duh.

How long will the cname thing take to be effective? My domain name is currently timing out?

Edit: Now when I type my domain name, it goes to a Godaddy page, not the forum. What am I doing wrong?

I also am having this same problem. I also obtained a domain name from godaddy.com and set it up the same way [as you have], and am receiving this same error. This reference doesn't help as much, since in that example the provider was someone else, not godaddy.com.

Can anyone help us?

Yes, same problem. Can anyone help us?

"Error

The supplied domain name is not well configured
You have no CNAME redirecting to : foodengineering.forumotion.com
You have configured a A type DNS ( A type redirects to an IP address, and not to a textual domain name like the CNAME )"

My server's name: http://www.europeregistry.com

What does "NAPTR", "MX" mean?
