Forum Permissions Question.
Is there a way that I can set permissions for only certain members to view a forum without creating a group?
I have a particular forum with personal info in. Most of my members are in there, but there is the odd one that isn't and so shouldn't be able to use the forum.
When I previously used a PHBB2 forum, I was able to do this easily, but can't find a way to do it here.
Is it possible?

Re: Forum Permissions Question.
No, you would have to manually make a group/rank and put them in, it would not be possible to do the permisssions for evey member

Thanks, Timmy.
I figured that would be the answer, but thought I'd check.

Re: Forum Permissions Question.
Yes you can do this.
admin
users&groups:
search users, put in the person you want to search for, then click the permissions and you can choose from there, if they are allowed in the room.

Re: Forum Permissions Question.
Ah, but that's what's confusing me, Kerry.
When I do that, all the options are unticked which to me, is back to front as I would have expected to 'untick' a forum that wasn't allowed, but this is not the way it works.
This is what I have. I would have thought that they'd all be ticked for access and unticked for no access.
So, do I have to TICK one to disallow access???? Not logical, so brain fuzzy on this.

Re: Forum Permissions Question.
Oh, I'm going to appear thick again here.
This person (the above screenshot) already has access to everything. I want to disallow access (to one forum only).
Nothing is ticked on anybody's and yet they all have access and that's what's confusing me. I would have expected all the above boxes to be ticked, (and therby untick to disallow access) but only in the mods permissions are they all ticked. I did the permissions through the forum settings and it all seems to be working fine.
I have one forum for mods only, so made a group for that and that makes sense, but this certainly doesn't.
